The Dallas Cowboys have a trademark for the Cowboys name.
The team’s owner Jerry Jones, who bought the team in 1996, also owns the trademark for its official logo.
It’s not clear if the Cowboys will use the Cowboys’ name in any jersey designs, but the name has long been associated with the team.
The trademark is currently under review, according to the Associated Press.
The Cowboys have also trademarked the phrase “D.W.A.” for “Dallas-Waco A” — which is not in use on any NFL jerseys.
The NFL has said that it intends to trademark the term “Waco,” which is also not in common use.
